House Dem starts ‘Twitter series’ to warn of health bill ‘scare tactics’

Rep. Steve Israel (D-N.Y.) started a new “Twitter series” to warn against “scare tactics” Republicans have used on healthcare reform legislation.

The fifth-term congressman’s “series” is a novel use of the microblogging site. Most lawmakers and media members use it to link stories or press releases and share thoughts with their followers.

Israel tweeted Wednesday:

Starting a new Twitter series called “Scare Tactics Greatest Hits” highlighting misrepresentations of the health care bill.

Scare Tactics Greatest Hits: Rep. Foxx says House Dem HC bill will “put seniors in a position of being put to death by their government.”

We wonder if other political tweeters will adopt Israel’s meme.
