On the economy, Rubio channels Snoop Dogg
Florida Senate candidate Marco Rubio (R) used one of rapper Snoop Dogg’s most recognizable lyrics in commenting on the struggling economy.
Rubio tweeted:
Consumer confidence near historic low. As Cordozar Calvin Broadus said “with my mind on my money and my money on my mind” #sayfie
Cordozar Calvin Broadus, of course, is Snoop Dogg’s given name. The lyrics appears in the song “Gin and Juice.”
My pick would have been Wu Tang Clan’s “C.R.E.A.M.” The chorus goes:
Cash Rules Everything Around Me
C. R. E. A. M Get the money, dollar, dollar bill y’all
