Whether its high school, college, or Congress, freshman year is always one to remember.
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) commemorated his first year in Washington by promoting his own participation in a CNN.com project about freshman members of Congress, tweeting:
http://www.youtube.com/user… The big screen is the CNN story that ran this morning about our Freshman Year project.
The clip shows footage Chaffetz shot of the White House luau in late June. “I’ve been to the White house before but I’ve never stood out here,” said Chaffetz on the South Lawn.
“He needs to work on that zooming out a little bit,” said the anchor.
Chaffetz’s video is part of CNN’s Freshman Year project that gives viewers a behind the scenes look at the experiences of first-year lawmakers.
The Utah Republican had at least one memorable experience in Congress thus far. He tweeted about a memorable “rookie mistake:” He entered the wrong House Natural Resources Committee meeting yet starting his speech anyway.
