Palin slams filer of legal fund ethics complaint

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) had some choice words for the filer of the ethics complaint against her alleging that she abused her power as governor in securing funds to cover her legal fees. The soon-to-be ex-governor accused the filer of leaking confidential materials related to the case to distort her public image.

Palin also attacked the press for providing inaccurate coverage of the proceedings.

Palin tweeted Thursday:

This wk saw add’l violation of law:filer of friv ethics complaint leaks confidential documents out of context 2 create false headlines, pre-

judge investigation, destroy integrity of process&strip rights;Abuse WILL cont til leaks/friv filers r held accntble&press reports accurately

Palin has been active on Twitter in defending herself against the ethics complaint.

She tweeted on Tuesday “Re: inaccurate story floating re: ethics violation/legal defense fund; matter is still pending; new info was just requested even; no final report.”

A member of the Alaska personnel board, Thomas Daniel, issued the initial report last week that raised questions regarding Palin’s legal defense fund.

Daniel’s report suggests that it was improper for Palin to establish an “official” legal defense fund since she used her status as governor to solicit personal donations.
