Cuban-American Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R) is speaking at a Florida school’s career week, tweeting her nostalgia in a mixture of Spanish and English.
At kinloch middle school: will speak to students on career wk. Had no idea that I would b in cong when I was en la escuela. One never knows.
In an easily understood cognate, “en la escuela” means “in the school” when translated to English.
