Things continue to get nasty in Sen. Arlen Specter’s (D-Pa.) bid to win reelection. The five-term senator took a shot at his primary challenger, Rep. Joe Sestak (D-Pa.), for missing votes.
He tweeted:
If you missed work 84 times, would you ask for a promotion? @JoeSestak would. Video – http://tinyurl.com/nxpuay
Specter called Sestak a “flagrant hypocrite” two weeks ago after Sestak said that he was the only “true Democrat” in the primary. Specter shot back that Sestak has only registered as a Democrat in 2006.
After he switched parties in April, Specter has made efforts to reach out to the liberal base of the Democratic Party to stem any grassroots support for Sestak.
On a side note: Does Specter’s website remind you of a certain American President’s site?
