NTU takes a page out of ‘The Simpsons’
The fiscally conservative National Taxpaers’ Union (NTU) called the government’s spending on transportation part of a “magical ferry land” in a Twitter post Tuesday.
The group tweeted:
A Magical Ferry Land: The government has quite a track record in transportation. The feds have been losing money.. http://tinyurl.com/m6j97d
The tweet reminds us of a Simpsons quote, when Homer said:
Oh, look at me! I’m making people happy! I’m the Magical Man from Happy-Land, in a gumdrop house on Lollipop Lane! [leaves the room, slamming the door]
[Pokes his head back in] Oh, by the way, I was being sarcastic. [closes the door]
