Kerry: ‘Must respond to all charges’ regarding Palin op-ed

Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) said that cap and trade supporters “must respond to all charged” Alaska Governor Sarah Palin (R) made in a recent Washington Post op-ed slamming the legislation.

Kerry’s comments indicate that Congressional Democrats are still treating Palin as a force to be reckoned with despite her July 3 resignation from office.

The 2004 presidential nominee tweeted:

Kerry linked to a Daily Kos item he posted, accusing the former Vice Presidential nominee of “distorting the energy and environmental reform legislation we’re developing in Congress.”

The post refutes Palin’s claims line-by-line. Kerry concludes that “This fight is too important to stand on the sidelines.”

Palin has been quick to respond to criticism from politicians and the media, so it may be interesting to see how she reacts.
