Pingree decries amendments to financial services bill

Freshman Rep. Chellie Pingree (D-Maine) voiced her dissatisfaction with amendments to the financial services bill the House Rules Committee is now considering.

She tweeted Tuesday:

In Rules listening to anti-gay marriage amendments to Financial Services bill. Go figure. Jared Polis did nice job opposing.

Next amendment is opposing Fairness Doctrine and broadcast localism regs, no one can stick to topic today….

Rep. Jared Polis (D-Colo.) who is also a freshman, is the first openly gay man to be elected to Congress.

The bill under consideration, numbered H.R. 3170, provides appropriations for financial services and government agencies.
