Senator tweets for first time in over a month
Sen. Mel Martinez (R-Fla.) tweeted for the first time in 35 days today:
I’m appalled. This week is marked by attempts to remove pork from spending and each amendment is voted down by the Democrat majority.
Dems voting down the removal of clearly narrow, noncompetitive, wasteful earmarks despite commitment from POTUS to end the practice.
Martinez, who is retiring from the Senate after the 2010 elections, usually tweets his mind. For tweeted 72 days ago:
I will oppose the confirmation of Kathleen Sebelius for HHS Secy. Her ability to do the job will be adversely affected by her extreme views.
His last tweeting drought lasted two weeks.
