Don’t let anyone tell freshman Rep. Gregg Harper (R-Miss.) that being in Congress doesn’t have its perks.
The congressman seemed giddy about his responsibilities across his district this weekend to help celebrate the Fourth of July.
Harper tweeted Saturday:
Enjoyed my first 4th of July speech as a congressman in DeKalb. Now I’m heading to speak in Lena. Last stop, M-Braves to throw first pitch.
And while we could’ve busted out “Born in the U.S.A.” for the occasion, for Rep. Harper, “Glory Days” seems more appropriate.
