Chief Deputy Whip Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) has suggested that voting cap-and-trade legislation may be pushed back.
He tweeted:
Speaker Pelosi changing course and not debating national energy tax now. May come up later today.
The House appears to be voting on a number of Republican amendments on a Department of Interior appropriations bill. An e-mail from a member of House Minority Leader John Boehner’s staff indicates these votes will take approximately 45 minutes. However, the e-mail said “the exact details of today’s schedule are subject to modification.”
