Culberson demands legislative submission deadlines, apologizes to tweeps

Rep. John Culberson (R-Tex.) called on House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to give congressmen more to read proposed legislation.

He tweeted:

Just finished an interview on fox busines.com calling on Pelosi to let the sun shine in – lay out all bills at least 72 hours for us to read

Even more noteworthy than Culberson’s suggestion has been his conspicuous absence from our Twitter feeds over the past few days. This afternoon, the congressman had this to tweet:

I write all my tweets and facebook updates which is why I fall behind – this job keeps me so wildly busy I lose track of when I last posted

Granted, yesterday was a “wildly busy” day in the world of politics. But before today Culberson hadn’t tweeted since Saturday! We suppose we’ll give him a free pass.
