Dodd ducks out on healthcare hearings, heads to WH

Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) has aroused interest by tweeting his whereabouts on this busy day in Washington:

Taking a break from the health care mark-up to head over to the White House. We will pick it back up at 2:30.

I’ll be joining President Obama to hear his plan to overhaul our nation’s financial regulations.

Sen. Dodd is a member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee but is Chairman of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee.

President Obama is unveiling his plan for new financial regulations right now.
