Obama and Biden head to Virginia for burgers
The Hill’s White House correspondent, Sam Youngman, informed us minutes ago that the president and vice president left the White House for their weekly lunch, and headed to Alexandria Arlington, Va. for lunch.
According to one Twitter user, President Obama and Vice President Biden are continuing in this administration’s affinity for cheeseburgers, dining at a burger joint in Virginia.
The Washington Times’s Amanda Carpenter tweeted Tuesday:
So Obama and Biden are eating at Ray’s Hell Burger. That’s a block from my house. But I’m at work. No fun!
Ray’s Hell Burger is one of the Washington area’s nouveau burger joints, joining new establishments like Z-Burger in Tenleytown and Good Stuff Eatery on Capitol Hill, owned by reality tv chef Spike Mendelsohn.
The First Lady is a fan of burgers, too. She admitted sneaking out with staffers to grab a bite at another local favorite, 5 Guys.
