Rep. Walter Jones (R-N.C.) is making his way to work, and it’s quite the commute.
Jones tweeted Monday that he’s driving up to Washington for his work in Congress this week:
Driving up to Washington, DC for a busy week of hearings, votes and meetings…. As of today your share of the national debt is $36,791.18
Though we can’t say for sure whether or not he was in his district over the weekend, if Jones is driving from his Farmville, N.C. residence, then he’s got quite the drive ahead of him.
By eschewing flying, Jones has almost a 4.5 hour drive ahead of him, according to Google Maps.
