Queen Rania of Jordan, one of the key countries to which President Obama sought to reach out in his Cairo speech this morning, said the president’s words were a “much needed change” to the United States’ rhetoric.
Rania tweeted about the Obama speech, indicating a receptiveness to the president’s message to the Muslim world, and suggesting a positive initial reaction to the speech in moderate Arab nations.
She tweeted Thursday:
Obama’s words: genuine & thoughtful. A much-needed change in tone re: east-west. #obama #cairospeech
