Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), always known to tweet about his Arizona Diamondbacks or any number of sporting events, let loose a curious tweet today about the NBA finals.
The finals, which start tonight, pits the L.A. Lakers out of the West against the Orlando Magic out of the east.
But McCain didn’t make clear who he’s supporting — an unusual non-declaration on a sporting preference from McCain. He tweeted Thursday:
Game 1 of the NBA Finals tonight @ 9 pm ET — Magic vs. Lakers…I always root for the underdog!
Using our powers of deduction, we assume he means he’s rooting for the Magic. The Orlando team is a six-point underdog according to the Vegas lines for Game 1 tonight.
