McCain gets a Ford
John McCain is getting a new car. Unsurprisingly, it’s American:
SenJohnMcCain Time to get a new car – decided on the Ford Fusion Hybrid http://www.ford.com/
Think about the politics involved in a Senator buying a car. With the American auto industry in pathetic shape, he’s got to buy domestic.
Yet McCain chose Ford, the one American automaker who turned down bailout money. And as one of the most ardent Republican supporters of climate change legislation–though he’s still skeptical on cap-and-trade–he of course went with a hybrid. Interesting.
