Paul embraces inner DJ

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) acted as as DJ on Sunday afternoon, tweeting out a series of YouTube music videos.

Through Twitter, Paul embraced a mocking sketch on “Saturday Night Live” in which he was portrayed as “DJ Rand Paul” at the Coachella music festival.

Paul began soliciting requests for songs Sunday with the hashtag #DJRandPaul and picked out an eclectic choice of music from the Beatles and Neil Young to Chumbawamba and Coolio.

The SNL sketch titled “GOP at Coachella Cold Open” portrayed characters playing Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) falling flat during a speech at the festival.

The character playing Paul was featured only briefly saying: “Here is something for the NSA to listen in on,” referencing his vocal opposition to National Security Agency surveillance programs.
