Live from the Capitol, tributes to Prince
Reps. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) and Joe Crowley (D-N.Y.) engaged in a sing-off on Twitter Wednesday to celebrate popular songs from Prince.
Ellison was the first to post his rendition of Prince’s “Purple Rain” to mark the song’s 30th anniversary.
Can't believe it's been thirty years since #PurpleRain https://t.co/HvGItKs4IY

Crowley later tweeted a video clip of him playing Prince’s “Raspberry Beret,” which Crowley said he prefers more than “Purple Rain.”
All due respect to #purplerain , Keith Ellison , I'm partial to #raspberryberet https://t.co/ZqlqlOxjjl

Ellison then asked Crowley when they’ll “jam.”
@repjoecrowley rock on, Big Joe! When are we gonna jam?

Crowley said he was ready to play together, and proposed singing something by Bruce Springsteen.
@keithellison Name time & place! May I suggest we cover @Springsteen next?
