By a roughly 2-to-1 margin, you indicated in our recent Quick Poll! that the Republican presidential nominating contest should not be a foregone conclusion — not just yet, anyway.
Whatever your reasoning — perhaps it’s simply that GOP primary voters ought to have a choice; perhaps it’s that media coverage shouldn’t all suddenly rest on the Democratic side of the scale — you said that former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee ought to stay in the running for the Republican presidential nomination. Of course, especially in light of the recent news of former President George H.W. Bush’s endorsement of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), it is also fair to ask whether Huckabee has not been eliminated in all but the strictest mathematical sense of the word.
