Giuliani embarrasses America

President Obama loves America. Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) does not understand America, and embarrasses America. Giuliani’s slander against Obama — when he demonstrated the ignorance and gall to suggest that the president does not love our country — represents a cancer in some circles of right-wing and Republican politics that the GOP would be wise to remove as a cancerous tumor would be removed.

We Americans believe in a nation of diversity, tolerance, mutual respect and shared patriotism. It is sad and sickening to see that Giuliani does not join us in this basic ideal of Americanism. Every Republican in Congress should denounce Giuliani’s slander against the president. Every Republican candidate for president should denounce Giuliani’s slander against the president. Every Republican — from sea to shining sea in the land of the free and the home of the brave — should denounce Giuliani’s slander against the president.

Giuliani does not understand the American idea.

Giuliani does not understand the greatness of our nation in which diverse people from vastly different backgrounds come together with mutual respect in a spirit of shared patriotism.

Rudy Giuliani embarrasses America and every Republican who truly believes in the highest ideals of the American idea should denounce his descent into the gutter of American politics.
