Michelle Obama announces children’s show focused on healthy eating
Former first lady Michelle Obama announced on Tuesday that she is launching a new show for kids next month focused on healthy eating.
Obama tweeted that the show, titled “Waffles + Mochi,” will premiere March 16 on Netflix.
“I’m excited for families and children everywhere to join us on our adventures as we discover, cook, and eat delicious food from all over the world,” Obama tweeted.

The former first lady also shared that she will work with the Partnership for a Healthier America “to help kids build healthy habits and help families in need cook with fresh ingredients together at home.”

Obama serves as an honorary chair of the organization.
During her time as first lady, some of Obama’s signature initiatives focused on healthy eating and combating childhood obesity.
Earlier this month, she thanked first lady Jill Biden on Instagram for a gift basket filled with veggies from the White House kitchen garden Obama helped plant as first lady in 2009.
