Presidential Twitter account follows Chrissy Teigen
Chrissy Teigen is getting some tweet-filled redemption: After being blocked by former President Trump on Twitter, the TV personality is now one of only a handful of people being followed by President Biden.
The model is one of just a dozen people followed by Biden’s @POTUS account, which was launched Wednesday after his inauguration. Teigen is the only celebrity among those followed, which includes White House communications director Kate Bedingfield, White House chief of staff Ron Klain and White House domestic policy adviser Susan Rice.
Teigen appeared to make the cut after making a personal appeal on the site to the 46th president.
hello @joebiden I have been blocked by the president for four years can I get a follow plz

Long one of Trump’s fiercest critics in Hollywood — she’s called him a “psychopath” while he’s blasted her as “filthy mouthed” — Teigen said back in 2017 that she had been blocked by him. In 2019, a federal appeals court barred Trump from blocking his critics on Twitter, saying he “engaged in unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination by utilizing Twitter’s ‘blocking’ function to limit certain users’ access to his social media account, which is otherwise open to the public at large, because he disagrees with their speech.”
Twitter permanently suspended Trump’s account earlier this month for violation of its glorification of violence policy following the deadly riot by his supporters at the Capitol.
Teigen and her husband, singer John Legend, were prominent Biden supporters during the then-Democratic presidential nominee’s campaign for the White House last year. The 35-year-old “Lip Sync Battle” co-host accompanied Legend to Washington this week for his performance at Biden’s inaugural prime-time TV special.
Rob Flaherty, the White House’s director of digital strategy, tweeted about the addition of Teigen to the list of people Biden follows:

Teigen appeared to rejoice at the move, while taking a dig at Trump.
my heart oh my god lmao I can finally see the president’s tweets and they probably won’t be unhinged
