‘Sesame Street’ muppets visit DC landmarks as part of national tour

“Sesame Street” muppets Grover, Bert, Oscar the Grouch and Big Bird visited Washington, D.C., on Friday as part of a national tour celebrating the long-running show.

The program characters visited D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) as well as the Washington Monument, Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum and other attractions. {mosads}

Images and videos from their trip were posted to Sesame Street’s Twitter page, as well as the muppets’ own pages.

The videos showed Oscar seemingly more interested in nearby trash cans than admiring the Washington Monument, and Grover waiting tables at Ben’s Chili Bowl.
