White House announces spring garden tour dates
Spring is in the air, and the White House is getting ready to celebrate with its annual garden tours.
The grounds and gardens at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. will open to visitors on April 13 and April 14, the White House announced Monday.
{mosads}“On these days, visitors can discover the beauty of the South Lawn of the White House,” a statement from first lady Melania Trump’s press office said.
Among the outdoor areas that will be open to the public are the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, the Rose Garden and the White House Kitchen Garden.
The event is free, but tickets — which will be given on a first-come, first-served basis — are required.
The National Park Service is poised to distribute the timed passes at a tent near the intersection of 15th Street and Constitution Avenue NW in Washington beginning at 8:30 a.m. each day.
