Bradley Cooper: I hope Beto O’Rourke runs for president
Movie star Bradley Cooper joined the chorus of people calling for former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D) to run for president in 2020.
Cooper was reportedly in attendance for O’Rourke’s interview Tuesday with Oprah Winfrey.
“I hope he runs,” Cooper said of O’Rourke, according to Washington Post reporter Matt Viser. “We need inspiration.”

{mosads}O’Rourke told Winfrey he’s been “thinking” about a presidential bid and will decide by the end of February.
Several celebrities threw their endorsements O’Rourke’s way in his competitive Senate race against Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), though he ultimately came up short in his bid.
Basketball superstar LeBron James and singer Beyonce Knowles posted on Instagram in support of O’Rourke last year in the lead up to the election.
O’Rourke’s close race in reliably red Texas aided his rise to national prominence and made him a commonly floated name as a Democratic candidate to challenge President Trump in 2020.
