Seth Meyers takes a shot at Trump in commencement speech

Days after banning Donald Trump from “Late Night,” Seth Meyers again took aim at the presumptive Republican presidential nominee in his commencement speech at Northwestern University.

“I think my favorite inspirational quote came from Donald Trump, who said to the graduates of Trump University, ‘If you want your money back, you’re gonna have to sue me, you losers,” Meyers told his alma mater on Friday.

“Remember that the worst things that happen in this country don’t happen because of hate or rage or fear — they happen because of apathy,” he said. “I encourage you to be people of action. I encourage you to do the most you can while remembering the least you can do is vote. So, vote this election. Don’t forget.”

Meyers announced Tuesday that Trump was no longer welcome on his program after the billionaire revoked The Washington Post’s credentials over a headline.

The ban will be in place as long as the newspaper is not allowed at Trump’s campaign events, Meyers said.
