Congressman welcomes twin daughters
Rep. Raul Ruiz is a new dad — times two.
The California Democrat’s wife, Monica, gave birth to twin baby girls late Sunday night. The sisters are named Sky and Sage.
“Words can’t express the overwhelming joy we feel,” Ruiz, a first-time father, said in a statement.
Calling his newborn daughters “healthy and happy,” the 42-year-old congressman thanked supporters for well wishes “throughout this exciting time in our lives.”
