‘House of Cards’ comes to DC
The Netflix political drama “House of Cards” is rolling through D.C. on Saturday.
The District’s Office of Motion Picture and Television Development said the series will film “shooting ‘drive-bys’, b-roll, and a mock-motorcade scene” on the National Mall between noon and 10 p.m.
{mosads}Filming will take place along Pennsylvania Avenue, Constitution Avenue and Independence Avenue and could cause traffic jams for D.C. residents.
It’s unlikely that fans of the popular show – -which is entering its third season — will spot stars Kevin Spacey or Robin Wright during the 10-hour set.
Although based in the nation’s capitol, “House of Cards” primarily films in Baltimore.
