Longtime Obama adviser lands new job

President Obama’s former White House adviser Alyssa Mastromonaco has landed a job at Marie Claire magazine.

Editor-in-chief Anne Fulenwider announced the hire last Thursday, which Mastromonaco confirmed on her Twitter account. 

{mosads}Mastromonaco left the Obama administration in May after serving most recently as the president’s deputy chief of staff and previously as director of scheduling and advanced.

She will serve as the magazine’s “ambassador” and contributing editor, and will be consulted for ideas pertaining to trends and women to watch.

Mastromonaco previously worked for Obama’s 2008 campaign, Secretary of State John Kerry (D-Mass.) during his 2004 presidential run and for former Rep. Rick Boucher (D-Va.).

She is married to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) chief of staff, David Krone.
