Sinema is first member of Congress to finish Ironman

Don’t mess with Rep. Kyrsten Sinema.
 
The Arizona Democrat flexed more than her political muscle on Sunday to become the first member of Congress to complete an Ironman competition.
 
The sweat-inducing race includes a 2.4-mile swim and a 112-mile bike ride, followed by a full marathon — a 26.2-mile run. ITK is exhausted just from writing about it.
 
Sinema, a 37-year-old avid runner and athlete, completed the whirlwind workout in 15 hours, 12 minutes and 34 seconds, her office tells us.
 
The congresswoman, who ran on behalf of a charitable foundation, did get support from some of her colleagues in Congress. Rep. Joe Kennedy (D-Mass.) wished her good luck and tweeted:
