Actress Kirsten Dunst endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Tuesday in the Democratic presidential primary as results from the Super Tuesday races across the nation were rolling in.
Dunst highlighted Sanders as a fighter who has stood up for “all people” throughout his career.
“All his life, Bernie Sanders has had the courage to speak the truth, even when no one else would. He stands up for people — all people,” Dunst announced on Twitter.
“Right now we need his courage and conviction to bring justice to this country, to the environment and to the world.”

Dunst’s celebrity endorsement for Sanders came as several Super Tuesday races were being called, including a victory for the senator in his home state of Vermont.
Biden was declared the winner in Virginia, North Carolina and Alabama, with exit polls suggesting he was bolstered by strong support from African American voters.
Voters in other states, including California, which has 415 pledged delegates to allocate, were still casting ballots, with polls open in a handful of Western states.
Sanders has received numerous celebrity endorsements, including from actors Danny DeVito and Mark Ruffalo and rapper Cardi B.
