Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-Fla.), the youngest member of the U.S. Congress, lamented not being in the House footage used in “The Boys,” a fictional series on Amazon Prime Video, saying that he would have been on if the tape ran for “3 more seconds.”

“YO. THE BOYS USED FOOTAGE FROM THE HOUSE FLOOR & IM NOT IN IT,” he posted on X. “I think this was during the speaker’s vote…3 more seconds of letting this roll and I would’ve been on.”

“The Boys” follows the story of what happens when superheroes “abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good,” according to the description of the series.

The show’s fourth season finale aired earlier on Friday, and part of the show included footage from the U.S. House floor, which appears to have been taken from one of the rounds of voting for Speaker for the 118th Congress.

In total, the House has voted in 18 Speaker’s ballots. It took former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) 15 tries to be elevated to speaker and current Speaker, Mike Johnson (R-La.), three ballots to be elected.

Senior Democratic lawmakers, including House Minority Whip Rep. Kaitlin Clark (D-Mass.), House Democratic Caucus Chair Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-Calif.), Reps. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.), Joe Negeuse (D-Colo.) and Rosa DeLauro (D-Ct.), are visible in the shots.

On Thursday, Amazon also added a health warning to the Season 4 finale of “The Boys” in the aftermath of the failed assassination attempt of former President Trump.

In a statement posted to Instagram by “The Boys” account and Sony Pictures TV said that any similarities between the season finale and the shooting during Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania over the weekend are coincidental.

“The season finale of The Boys contains scenes of fictional political violence, which some viewers may find disturbing, especially in light of the injuries and tragic loss of life sustained during the assassination attempt on former President Trump,” the statement read.

“The Boys is a fictitious series that was filmed in 2023, and any scene or plotline similarities to these real-world events are coincidental and unintentional. Amazon, Sony Pictures Television and the producers of The Boys reject, in the strongest terms, real-world violence of any kind.”

A 20-year-old gunman took aim at Trump during a rally outside of Pittsburgh on Saturday, grazing his ear with a bullet. The shooter also killed one rally attendee and injured two others. Investigators have not determined a motive yet.

In recent days, President Biden and numerous lawmakers have called on both sides of the aisle to tone down political rhetoric.
