Kid Rock teases convention performance to support ‘bada‑‑ president’ Trump

MILWAUKEE — Kid Rock is bringing “American Bad A‑‑” to the Republican National Convention stage, performing on the same night that former President Trump is set to accept the GOP presidential nomination.

The 53-year-old “All Summer Long” singer, one of Trump’s most prominent celebrity supporters, was seen rehearsing Thursday at Fiserv Forum ahead of the final night of the Republican convention.

The entertainer, who was born Bob Ritchie, paced back and forth onstage while singing his 2000 tune.

During the practice session, Kid Rock was heard modifying the lyrics of the song to include the words, “Fight! Fight! Fight!”

Trump chanted the same words to a crowd gathered at one of his campaign rallies in Pennsylvania last week shortly after surviving an assassination attempt by a gunman. The attack killed one attendee and injured two others.

Following the campaign rally shooting, Kid Rock was one of several public figures who announced they were donating $50,000 to support the victims.

On Thursday, the performer teased his convention appearance.

“We just arrived in Milwaukee to support our tried and true, red, white and blue, 100 percent American bada‑‑ president,” he said in a post on social platform X. “What’s going to happen tonight? Tune in to find out,” he told the camera.

“But here’s a hint: Are you scared?” he said.

“God bless Donald Trump and God bless America,” Kid Rock said.
