Actor Steve Buscemi was randomly attacked on the streets of New York City on Sunday, punched by a man on the sidewalk, his publicist told The Associated Press

“Steve Buscemi was assaulted in Mid-Town Manhattan, another victim of a random act of violence in the city,” according to a statement Sunday from his publicist. “He is ok and appreciates everyone’s well wishes.”

The “Boardwalk Empire” and “Fargo” star, 66, suffered bruising, swelling and bleeding to his left eye and was taken to a hospital.

The New York Police Department said there were no arrests in the case and the investigation was continuing.
