Kevin Spacey is throwing his support behind Robert F. Kennedy Jr., praising the independent presidential candidate for sticking by him when the “world turned its back” on the actor amid his legal troubles.

“There’s a lot I can learn from this man,” Spacey wrote of Kennedy in a Monday post on the social platform X.

“When the world turned its back on me, Bobby leaned in,” the 64-year-old Academy Award winner said.

“He’s a formidable fighter for justice and a loyal friend that’s not afraid to stand up for what he believes,” Spacey said.

The former “House of Cards” star’s public show of support for Kennedy came a day before reports that a civil suit in the United Kingdom by a man who accused Spacey of sexually assaulting him would head to trial.

Last July, Spacey was acquitted of sexual assault charges by a jury in London. The case was based on allegations from four men dating back two decades. In 2022, a New York jury found Spacey not liable for battery in a civil lawsuit brought against him by Anthony Rapp, who accused Spacey of making a sexual advance on him in the 1980s.

Kennedy has found limited backing from Hollywood figures — including Adam Carolla and Rob Schneider — since launching his White House bid.

Several performers, such as Dionne Warwick and Martin Sheen, publicly distanced themselves from Kennedy in January after a super PAC backing him announced they would be attending a celebrity-filled fundraiser for the White House hopeful, an environmental lawyer who’s the nephew of former President John F. Kennedy.

“I don’t know anything about this event. I did not agree to it and I certainly won’t be there,” Warwick said at the time.
