It’s still than two months away, but the parade of performers who are planning to touch down in Washington for the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) dinner is already starting to take shape.

“Ted Lasso’s” Brendan Hunt, “The Breakfast Club” star Molly Ringwald, Susie Essman of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Psych’s” Dulé Hill are among the celebrities poised to be in town for the April 27 dinner, somewhat-affectionally dubbed “Nerd Prom” by D.C. denizens.

The group — which also includes former “Madam Secretary” star Tim Daly, Joseph Lee from “Beef,” “Severance’s” Tramell Tillman, Yetide Badaki of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” fame, Midori Francis from “The Sex Lives of College Girls,” “Fleishman is in Trouble” actor Lizzy Caplan, “Harley Quinn’s” Diedrich Bader and Yvette Nicole Brown of “A Black Lady Sketch Show” — is coming to the nation’s capital with the nonpartisan arts advocacy nonprofit the Creative Coalition.

The organization hosts a gala on the eve of the WHCA dinner each year to promote its work for arts funding.

Ahead of the pre-correspondents’ dinner event, the group of entertainers will visit Capitol Hill to push for public funding of the arts across the country.

The WHCA announced earlier this month that “Saturday Night Live’s” Colin Jost will headline its annual lawmaker, celeb and journalist-filled dinner at the Washington Hilton.
