‘Late Night’s’ Seth Meyers to interview Biden

President Biden is staying up late, making an appearance on “Late Night” as the NBC show marks its 10th anniversary with Seth Meyers in the hosting chair.

The commander in chief will sit down with Meyers on Monday during a reelection campaign fundraising stop in New York City, The New York Post first reported.

Biden’s interview with Meyers was later confirmed by NBC and White House pool reports.

Meyers is poised to celebrate his 10th anniversary at “Late Night” on Monday.

In an interview with The Wrap, Meyers reflected on the past decade as a late-night TV host. The former “Saturday Night Live” writer and “Weekend Update” anchor has been a frequent critic of former President Trump, saying he felt “at a loss” when the New York real estate developer won the 2016 presidential election.

“I hated what it said about where we were at as a country,” Meyers said.

“Then I got to come in and be with my staff, all of whom were feeling equally miserable, and we got to do a show. I got to talk honestly about the way I felt,” he told the publication.

Biden, then the vice president, followed Amy Poehler as Meyers’s second guest on “Late Night” when he debuted as its host in 2014.

Poehler is also poised to appear on Meyers’s anniversary show on Monday, according to NBC.

Biden made headlines earlier this month for skipping the tradition of sitting for an interview ahead of the Super Bowl. It was the second year in a row that he declined the high-profile pre-Super Bowl appearance.
