Booker opens up about relationship with Rosario Dawson

Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) is opening up about his relationship with actress Rosario Dawson, saying she has taught him “a lot of lessons about love already.”

The New Jersey Democrat, a longtime bachelor, discussed his budding romance with the “Rent” star and Voto Latino activist during a Wednesday interview with Ellen DeGeneres.

{mosads}”She’s a deeply soulful person and has taught me a lot of lessons about love already,” Booker said of Dawson in an appearance on “Ellen.”

“And that sometimes you show the greatest strength when you make yourself vulnerable. She really has this nurturing spirit that’s made me more courageous not just in the love that I project and want to see in our country, but I think even in our personal relationships to love more fearlessly,” Booker, 49, said.

Booker was the first 2020 Democratic White House hopeful to appear on DeGeneres’s daytime talk show.

The couple — who were the focus of unconfirmed reports in recent months after being eyed out and about together in New York City — had previously kept coy about any whispers of their courtship.

In a radio interview last month, Booker revealed he was seeing someone, telling “The Breakfast Club” hosts, “I got a boo.” Dawson, 39, confirmed to TMZ last week that she was dating Booker, calling him an “amazing human being.”

“I’m very, very blessed to be with somebody that makes me a better person,” Booker said Wednesday to DeGeneres.

The talk-show host also advised Booker that if he wins the White House race to hold off on tying the knot with Dawson.

“That would be an amazing wedding to have in the White House,” DeGeneres said with a grin.

“So you’re saying if Rosario and I get there — wait. Don’t do the marriage before,” Booker said, before asking DeGeneres if she would help preside over any future “I dos.”

“I would … yes. I’d be a big part of that,” DeGeneres replied.

“Is that a promise?” Booker asked.

“Yes, yeah,” said DeGeneres.
