Mark Hamill on Trump saying memo vindicates him: ‘It’s fun to pretend’
“Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill on Saturday cast doubts on President Trump’s assertion that a House Intelligence Committee memo “vindicates” him in the Russia investigation, saying that “it’s fun to pretend.”
Trump tweeted Saturday that the release of the memo, which alleges political bias at the FBI and Justice Department in abusing surveillance powers to spy on the Trump campaign, freed him of any accusations of collusion with Russia to influence the 2016 election. {mosads}
“This memo totally vindicates ‘Trump’ in probe. But the Russian Witch Hunt goes on and on,” the president tweeted.
Hamill, known for his lead role in the “Star Wars” films and a frequent Trump critic, said that Trump was only pretending to be free of guilt.
“It’s fun to pretend! xoxo, Mark ‘Hamill’ ” the actor tweeted, poking fun at Trump’s use of quotes around his name.

Hamill criticized Trump last month for canceling a trip to the United Kingdom over expected protests, saying Trump made a smart decision to cancel rather than admit he was “scared-silly.”
