Lena Dunham dreams of first lady Bill Clinton

Actress and feminist Lena Dunham calls it her “dream” to see former President Bill Clinton take on the traditional duties of a first lady.

“That is the dream of my life, seeing Bill Clinton be like, ‘I organized a really nice tea for the wife of the prime minister,” Dunham tells Refinery29.com in an interview published Wednesday.

“That is my dream,” Dunham, 29, says, “Bill Clinton being forced to hang out with the other first ladies.”

Hillary Clinton, 68, has said if she occupies the Oval Office, her spouse wouldn’t be tasked with picking out china and tablecloths or entertaining guests.

“I have ruled out my husband,” Clinton told People magazine in January regarding first lady duties. “I want him to help on the economy. I want him to help us get more good jobs with rising incomes.”
