“Saturday Night Live” has found its Donald Trump.
The NBC late-night comedy sketch show has tapped cast member Taran Killam to portray the GOP presidential candidate in its upcoming season. Deadline.com first reported the casting choice for what’s considered a highly coveted role.
{mosads}Fellow “SNL” star Kate McKinnon, who plays Democratic White House hopeful Hillary Clinton on the show, called the pick “amazing.”
Trump isn’t the first politician that 33-year-old Killam has impersonated on “SNL.” The comedian, a California native who joined the show in 2010, previously spoofed Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) in a Miley Cyrus-inspired music video.
The 41st season of “SNL” premieres Oct. 3.
