Conan O’Brien is making it his mission to get Democratic presidential contender Lincoln Chafee “from 0 percent all the way to 1 percent in the polls.”
“Let’s get him to 1 percent! Yes!” O’Brien said during his show Wednesday.

The late-night host mentioned Chafee’s support for issues such as affirmative action, same-sex marriage and the metric system.

The former Rhode Island governor currently stands at 0.0 percent in the RealClearPolitics polling average, behind five other Democratic presidential candidates. He launched his campaign in June.
O’Brien’s show produced two Chafee 2016 hats — for 1 percent of the studio audience — and musical duo Aimee Mann and Ted Leo sang a song saying Chafee “looks like Chris Matthews on a juice cleanse.”
