Actress Olivia Wilde has switched from Team Warren to Team Clinton.
After previously urging the Massachusetts senator to run for president, Wilde said Wednesday while promoting her new film “Meadowlands” that she would vote for the former secretary of State, according to The Daily Beast.
{mosads}“I think Hillary is a really exciting candidate for so many reasons but she has a lot to prove to a lot of people,” Wilde said.
“And I think she’s up for that,” she added.
The “House” star said Clinton had won her over by promoting women’s rights and healthcare reform. These issues were especially important to her, Wilde said, given she had her first child last year with husband Jason Sudeikis of “Saturday Night Live” fame.
“The fact that she feels the plight of women and girls as the most important issue of the 21st century is a huge reason why I’m supporting her,” Wilde said.
“Wow, I mean, there’s so much work to be done on so many sectors of our society, but I think it’s really important to protect our new healthcare law and I think Hillary would be focused on that,” Wilde added of ObamaCare.
The “Tron” actress also predicted Clinton would “face difficulty” from Wall Street during her campaign. Wilde said the Democrat’s positions on financial reform would not endear her to wealthy special interests.
“They’re afraid of the rhetoric she’ll use in her campaign and I think she’ll face a lot of pressure from her campaign to tone that down because of the donations they’ll receive from different banks,” she argued.
Wilde proposed that Warren could provide Clinton with a model for facing down big business. Wilde joined 89 other entertainers in endorsing Warren for a 2016 Oval Office bid in February.

“My dream is that Warren would be [Hillary’s] V.P. but that’s not happening in a million years,” Wilde admitted.
Warren has said she will not seek the presidency in 2016. Clinton is the heavy front-runner among Democrats.
