Malia Obama for NYU?

Malia Obama might be in a New York state of mind for college: The 16-year-old was reportedly eyed touring two dormitories at New York University.

A tipster has told the site NYU Local about sharing an elevator with Malia and Michelle Obama as the members of the first family took a look around one of the Manhattan school’s dorms on Friday morning.

{mosads}An admissions ambassador from NYU — which is home to the NYU Violets — and several Secret Service agents escorted the pair, the source said. 

The Obamas haven’t given any indication of where their elder daughter may head for college. Speculation flew about a West Coast destination last summer when Malia, a high school junior, was eyed sporting a Stanford University sweatshirt while on a bicycle ride with her family.
