Report: Gordon-Levitt offered role of Snowden
Joseph Gordon-Levitt has reportedly been offered the part of Edward Snowden in an upcoming biopic.
{mosads}The “Lincoln” actor, 33, is said to be director Oliver Stone’s pick to play the former National Security Administration leaker, according to Variety. The Academy Award-winning director was behind movies such as “JFK,” “Nixon,” and “Natural Born Killers.”
Shooting has not yet begun on the flick based on a book by Snowden’s lawyer.
Snowden, a former defense contractor, sought asylum in Russia following the 2013 leaks. Last month, the country granted the 31-year-old permission to stay there for three more years.
