“Well you know, Coach, I’ve been thinking … maybe I’ve been too hard on those guys,” Rauner, a Land of Lincoln businessman, replies.

Ditka then engages Rauner in an epic stare down.

Rauner, who faces incumbent Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn (D) in November, quickly relents, saying, “Okay, you’re right. I don’t know what I was thinking.”

“Yeah, stick to the game plan, Bruce. Stick to the game plan!” Ditka exclaims.
