Most Beautiful list gets two unique noms

Nominations for The Hill’s 50 Most Beautiful list continue to pour in from far and wide, and, for the first time ever, ITK is sharing two names of hopefuls that we’ve received.

Although we typically refrain from offering our personal opinion on potential list-makers, even ITK has to admit: These two are total hotties.

{mosads}The first is Rusty, the red panda who made headlines last year when he managed to escape from the National Zoo. He was later found safe and sound roaming around Adams Morgan.

The person who nominated Rusty — perhaps a budding zoologist — listed Rusty’s occupation as an “escape artist.”

The other unique nomination gives Rusty some cute and cuddly competition. Providing not one, but three photos, the person nominating Bao Bao the giant panda wrote, “This little furball is just about the best thing ever.”

And while it’s not necessarily a recipe for beauty, a description states Bao Bao’s skills include “sleeping, tree climbing, sleeping, bamboo gumming, sleeping, hiding from the public, and sleeping.” The female panda cub was born at the National Zoo in 2013 and made her public debut earlier this year.

Unfortunately, rules of the 50 Most Beautiful dictate that the competition is open only to those who “regularly work on Capitol Hill.” So start applying for Hill-related gigs now, Rusty and Bao Bao, and maybe next year could be your most beautiful yet.

There’s still time to nominate yourself or someone you know for The Hill’s 2014 list. Be sure to include the person’s name, place of employment, contact information, and photo in an email to 50MB@digital-stage.thehill.com.
